Classic Moc 8836 Chocolate Muleskin Leather
The chocolate-colored muleskinner leather used in these boots is an oiled roughout leather, giving it a deeper texture and a unique color variation than dry-tanned roughout leather. Red Wing's roughout leather is made by simply turning full-grain leather inside out, so the dense grain (the surface of the leather) is used as is on the inside without any processing. Scratches are less noticeable, and because the grain is not exposed to the outside, it is resistant to natural elements such as rain. This is a no-compromise leather that requires minimal maintenance to maintain.
